A wonderful Layout and Tutorial by Marie-Claire

Marie-claire aka Clin d’oeil Design here !

Another great challenge is in progress at Oscraps : it’s a template challenge, and you get a fantastic template for free!!

Sometimes, when i scrap with templates, I think i have to move all around, change the place from every element, delete some layers, and add many other things.

But sometimes, there a so beautiful templates : you don’t need more ! Just use the template as it is.
First, i turn off the visibility of the multiple overlay, stains, splash, and other layers, concentrating me on the photos.

In this page, i starded with a photo from Corsica (there is one unique photo on my page). I placed two different details from the photo on the two photomasks.
Then came the idea to blend the same photo, -but very big- in the background. To do this, i used one of the watercolor mask from one little photo, make it very big. In order to have also watercolor stain on the top, i duplicate the mask, rotate it, and merge my two layers, clipped the big photo on this new big mask.
I used only a neutral paper from the “Sometimes” Collection to blend in this big photo. The idea was only to enhance and showcase the old stones of the cottage.

Then a began to turn on one overlay layer after the other, searching the right blendmode, or the adequate opacity ….

At least i added the tittle and the wordart .. and that’s it !
I must say : this template was just perfect for my page … nothing more to do !
