NBK Design Simple Challenge October

Hi everyone, Anne here. This month the NBK Design Simple Challenge is to scraplift one of CT Marilyn’s (mcurtt’s) amazing pages from her gallery. She has an extensive gallery of over 150 pages, each one jam packed with creativity. I wanted to choose something that hopefully nobody else had, so I started at the back of her gallery and ended up choosing this one from early 2016. I really liked how she used a different photo for each letter. I’m too lazy to do that though, so I just blended 2 city photos together and then clipped them to the word ‘Urban.’

I wanted some interest in the background, but not so much that it detracted from the focal point, so I found a subtle grunge overlay from the Art & Journal Collection and clipped a paper from artCrush No5 to it. Some unobtrusive ABP and a Loopilalooza and my layout was finished. Here’s how it came out.
